Dear colleagues,

we are pleased to announce the “3rd Annual Florence Meeting on Myeloproliferative Neoplasms” which will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013. This educational and research symposium is held in conjunction with the “Annual Meeting of the International Working Group for MPN Research and Treatment (IWG-MRT)”, which will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013. As for previous year, on Friday, March 15, 2013 we will host the Third Patients’ Day dedicated to subjects with one of the Philadelphia-chromosome negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN).

The invitation to attend the Saturday meeting is open to all scientists and clinicians who are interested in getting updated on recent advances in laboratory and clinical research in MPN. The Sunday meeting is restricted to IWG-MRT members, will focus on new collaborative projects.

Both meetings are completely free of drug company support and are included in the AGIMM project, an italian project composed by seven groups of italian scientists, financial supported by AIRC ( acronym of Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro) with “5 per Mille” donations. Both meetings are feasible thanks to Terner Foundation (Miami, USA) fundings. Furthermore, this year, for the first time, eight young researchers from Europe and USA will take part of Saturday meeting thanks to one of our patient donations. It is the wish of our grateful patients with MPN to facilitate information exchange and collaboration on matters that are relevant to their diseases.

Unfortunately, because of limited space, we are able to accept up to 400 attendees for the Friday meeting and up to 120 attendees for the Saturday meeting, which will be selected on first come basis. Only academic members will be allowed to register to the Saturday meeting.
